The whole foods found in this recipe replaces the flour, refined sugar, and oil that is found in a traditional brownie, which makes this brownie so much more healthy!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups pitted medjool dates pre-soak for 30 minutes if dates are not very moist
- 1 cup raw walnuts
- 1 cup raw cacao powder or raw carob powder any cocoa powder will work if you don't mind that it's not raw
- 1 teaspoon ground instant coffee this helps to bring out the chocolate flavor
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a food processor with an S-blade, blend together the dates and walnuts until you've reached a smooth consistency.
- Then add in the rest of the ingredients and blend until well incorporated.
- Remove the brownie mixture and form a single layer on a non-stick surface, such as in a silicone pan or on parchment paper.
- Cut brownies into approximately 8 pieces. You can eat them as is or you can refrigerate them for about 30 minutes to get a more solid consistency.
- Store them in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Enjoy! 🙂
