These sweet, oil-free, Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts are delicious and so easy to make with only 4 ingredients! They are sweet and salty, as well as tender with nice crispy edges.
Roasted Brussels Sprouts Ingredients
The simplicity of this recipe makes it nice and easy to quickly cook up a side dish that is both delicious and nutritious. You only need 4 ingredients: brussels sprouts, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and tamari or a low-sodium soy sauce. There’s no need to add any oil because the sauce alone will be enough to coat the brussels sprouts and allow them to cook nicely!
How to Make Roasted Brussels Sprouts
You want to first preheat your oven to 400°F. Then line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Wash and trim the brussels sprouts and then cut into halves. I usually purchase mine in 1 lb bags where they’re already prewashed and trimmed.
Next, place the brussels sprouts in a large ziploc bag. Pour the sauce over the brussels sprouts. Seal the bag and shake it until the brussels sprouts are well coated.
Place the brussels sprouts in an even layer on top of the baking sheet. It doesn’t matter if the brussels sprouts are facing up or down, as long as they don’t overlap each other. Either direction, they will come out tasty!
Bake for approximately 45 minutes at 400°F. Since brussels sprouts vary in their size, check the brussels sprouts every 15 minutes with a fork to make sure they don’t overcook. Once they are tender, they’re ready to come out of the oven.
The sweet, savory, and salty combination of the flavors makes this side dish perfect to accompany any dinner. It’s easy to get in your daily veggies when they taste this good!
