These sweet and savory vegan baked beans are a perfect side dish to any meal. This recipe is low in fat and oil free. Combine these beans with a juicy veggie burger or a vegan hot dog for the ultimate summer barbecue!

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 (15.5) ounce cans pinto beans or any beans of your choice
- 1 cup chopped onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. F.
- In a small bowl, combine the maple syrup, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, and lemon juice. Whisk together. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the beans and onions.
- Pour the mixture over the beans and mix together until well incorporated.
- Transfer the bean mixture into a baked dish and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F.
